James Swoger was a notable American magician and magic dealer who founded Regow’s House of Enchantment in 1937. The name “Regow” is actually “Swoger” spelled backward1. Swoger was a pioneer in manufacturing magic tricks from plastic materials and was one of the largest makers of retail magic in the 1950s.
One of his well-known creations is the “Poof Ball,” which allows magicians to perform various ball manipulations, including vanishes, reproductions, color changes, and penetrations. Swoger’s contributions to magic include several innovative effects and routines that have left a lasting impact on the magic community.
