Mento Card Box - Viking/Berg - Collins Estate

Joe Berg created the first version of the Mento-Card Box c. 1941 from an idea by Harlan Tarbell. Later in 1975 he created another version.

An unprepared deck of cards is shuffled by a spectator and placed by him face down in a box just large enough to hold it. Box is closed and held by the spectator. Magician stands several feet away and names top card in the box. The spectator opens box, remove card, and the magician repeats the miracle by naming several more. Deck is removed from the box which spectator can examine without discovering the secret.
