From Yoan Tanuji, creator of Snow Deck and Tree Deck, comes Sun Deck, a beautiful coloring book-style deck designed to create a visual and magical experience in the spectator's hands. Visual, interactive, and easy to understand, Sun Deck is the kind of effect that makes spectators feel like they are creating the magic themselves.
The Effect: Invite a participant to imagine they are drawing the SUN in the air. You reach out into the air (where they were they were imaginarily drawing) and pantomime as if you are catching their sketch and then throwing it towards the deck.
Next you show the deck, and sure enough a drawing of the sun has appeared on one of the cards! But that's only the beginning. Next you show that all the other cards are completely blank, except for the one card that has the participants sketch of the sun on it. Then, one-by-one, drawings begin to magically appear throughout the deck. What was completely blank just moments before is now filled with unique and indifferent sketches...
"Now let's add some color?" (you say out loud.) Next instruct your participant to "color in" their sun directly in the air, and you catch it again. When they look at the card, their sun is now yellow! And just when they think the magic is over, the grand finale kicks in! Now you show that the entire rest of the deck that had the black and white sketches are now all transformed to bright, bold living color objects.
Summary: An initial blank deck morphs into indifferent black and white sketches only to have yet another miraculous event when all the cards then morph again via a living color visual transformation - right in front of everyone's eyes!
Visual, interactive, and easy to understand, Sun Deck is the kind of effect that makes spectators feel like they are creating the magic themselves.
A beautiful companion deck, the Sun Deck is one of the newest in the series with the Tree Deck and Snow Deck, giving you another creative way to use drawings and imagination to create memorable close-up and walk-around magic.
