A vintage pre-owned 3 bottle P&L Mfg. Company in New Haven, Connecticut. The bottles feature one of my favorite designs of labels when it comes to contrast with red and black color and have the P&L circular logo at the top.
Understandably there is some normal wear, but overall, the set is in very good and useable condition. Some Houdini Bumps on the tubes but nothing major - see images of actual tubes. Two glasses supplied.
Effect: A classic comedy effect in which a bottle and glass change places underneath two separate metal tubes. As opposed to the regular Passe Passe Bottle set this comedy version Includes a third bottle which may be “accidentally” removed from one tube (by an assistant) in an effort to wreak havoc on the magician – yet, the effect concludes successfully.
The 12-inch Variant: Sets with 12" height tubes were historically marketed as large, stage-sized or "Comedy" Passe Passe bottles. The larger footprint makes them highly visible for theater or stage performing
Because P&L ceased traditional production of these antique props long ago, these sets are primarily sought after as vintage collectibles by magic historians and performers.
Condition: Good to Very Good. As previously mentioned there are some light "Houdini bumps" on the tubes but in its entirety good to very good condition.
