In all of history, no single magician has been as important in the development of today's magic as Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin. He is credited with many landmark developments that have formed the basis of today's parlor, stage and platform magic shows. This book started in 1955 as a small prospectus, for the purpose of 'Introducing Houdini versus Robert-Houdin, The Whole Truth'. It was out on hold when The Magic Wand ceased publication. In 1967, it began a six year serial publication in The Linking Ring. Now it has been updated, with added material and revisions, and is presented in one monumental HARDCOVER book, complete with index.
