Psychic Escape - Tannen's - Nassif Estate
From the Estate of Nathan Nassif... This is a great story showing how a lover of the art of magic stayed with it all the way. Nate starting out as a master close-up performer (with a signature coin matrix effect). He then traversed into parlor and stage venues including a wonderfully remembered Chinese Linking Ring routine by his family & friends. As Nate aged he accepted something difficult - loosing his dexterity due to arthritis and neuropathy. Give up his love for magic - FORGETABOUT! Nate zig-zaged into collecting. Nate was the epitome of class and someone we at Stevens Magic along with his friends like Jon Wilson and family won't forget. In fact our relationship with Nathan transcended the art of magic... Psychic Escape is a cleverly designed close-up trick consisting of a combination of mental and penetration effects.
The magician shows five discs, fronts coloured, backs neutral silver. The discs are turned with the coloured side down and shuffled. The spectator chooses one of the discs, the magician does not know the colour! The discs are mixed up again by the spectator. Then all the discs are put into a tin with the coloured side down. Now a string is pulled through the tin and the discs. Thus all the discs and the tin are strung. After a magical gesture, the magician opens the tin.
Four discs are still on the string, only the disc freely chosen by the spectator has freed itself and falls out of the can! Immediately everything can be examined.
Please note: This trick was first brought to the market by us in 1994. Since then, countless copies have appeared.
The advantages of our version:
- The string is pulled through the can with the help of a brass tube and not with a pointed needle. This prevents the discs from being scratched and the trick looks like new for a long time!
- The tin and the discs are made of silver-coloured light metal. Easy to carry in your pocket and no heavy "block" in your jacket pocket even when tablehopping.
- The silver-coloured metal is elaborately polished, with a good grip and feel and retains its noble appearance even after a long time. Give your audience the feeling of working for you with valuable props!
