Out of this World by Paul Curry - without question one of the greatest cards effects every created and when I state that I pull from the history of the art, the number of tomes written about the effect. But most of all - what I pull from is the many years I would watch as my father Joe perform this Out of this World as I always watched the miracle of the jaws of the spectators drop. I NEVER grew tired of watching this one play out - even though I knew exactly from start to finish how it would play out.
If that isn't a measurement for a powerful effect - I don't know what is. Even though I had seen it time and time again - I couldn't help to me completely amazed by what I was viewing as Joe performed the effect.
Now our dear friend Steven Perry has given credit to Allan Sands who used to make this fantastic card deck. Keep in mind it's NOT just his prolific mind that thinks up these creations or alterations for classics... No, my friend it is MUCH MORE - it is the marriage of being able to have the chops to create a level of quality in every deck that he sets forth to create in association with the conceptual. But equally his desire to make sure those who came before him - in this case Allan Sands and Paul Curry get their full credit. I have never met anyone like Steven Perry in all my years of magic, and I am deeply grateful to Jeff McBride who realized based on Steven's personality and mind set he would be a perfect fit for Stevens Magic. The rest is truly history but it's also an ever-evolving story.
EFFECT: Imagine if you can one of the best effects ever created. This is a Belly stripper deck that allows you to split the cards into red and black to perform Out of this World in a moment's notice! To our knowledge this deck has never been put out onto the market. Hey - we're not omniscient but we have 50 plus years in the industry, and we don't ever remember offering this combination together. I mean - as far as we are concerned - a magician should require a license to carry something so powerful! - NEW UPDATE - We found out that these have been sold before by Allan Sands many years ago. This is an old deck revisited.
Nothing short of ingenious and when you consider the time, energy, quality and continually pushing the envelope it's a crime at this price.
