I think Merv Taylor may be my favorite magic craftsman because he worked with metal and wood and had such a versatile line that was committed to highest quality. The artwork is vivid and its a great piece because it holds the kids attention for a long time.
This would never be an effect that you should open with but once you have their attention it's a great story telling effect in which leads itself to a perfect customer routine about bullying.
Most of you know the effect if you're surfing our web. Funny story whenever my father performed it he referred to it in his patter as "Joey and the Giant." So I need a question answered about the product so I sent Andy Martin a question asking him - referring to the name I remembered as "Joey." Andy replied, I have never heard of an effect called, "Joey and the Giant," to which I wrote back - "Andy - c'mon its a Merv Taylor classic!" And then Andy did what he's good at - and I'm glad - he corrected me. He was so puzzled as to how I came up with Joey I had to explain it. To his credit his completely understood why I would think so under my unique circumstances.
This unit has a nice letter from Bill Larsen that provides an alternate patter. It's a nice piece of ephemera for the piece.
Condition: VERY GOOD. Very Important: I am very familiar with his product so its vital that when you either store it or transport it you do so such that the castle has nothing weighted on the top of it. I have personally wrapped the unit with acid free paper to insure it arrives just as you see it here. Premium Packaged.
Max Dims: Giant approx. 16" - Super Dwarf approx. 23" (7 total pieces included)
Comes with 2 green bases, a total of 4 pieces (that are figurines or the 4th one used as an application figuring to make the dwarf grow exponentially, the Castle House (Thus 7 pieces) not including the instructional. Pay attention to the detail of the images. These come around but finding ones in very good condition is a challenge believe me. Mark Stevens
