Chinese Flame Clock by Milson-Worth - (c. 1954,1978)
NOTE: Item in images is the actual item being offered. To be redundant this unit is missing a top knob for the first window. This should be an easy fix for some by purchasing 3 like knobs of similar size and replacing them. This item has been reduced in price as a result of this small issue.
This is one of the best things Ed Massey invented and one of the most popular effects that Milson-Worth ever created.
Effect: An examined candle is placed in an elaborate Chinese tower with doors open to show candle in position. Doors are closed, two metal daggers inserted, and doors reopened to show middle portion of candle has vanished. Whole candle is then restored. Unusual and highly decorative.
The effect is a the middle section of a solid candle is vanished as two blades penetrate the candle and cabinet. Great addition to your collection!
Condition - Other than the missing knob in the top window I would say very good as the images will prove. There is some wear at the top apex triangle - which is the most likely area to see wear on these designs. Item comes complete with instructions and all necessary pieces.
Approx. Dimensions: 14.5" Tall x 7.5" Wide x 6.5" Deep.
