If I asked a room full of magicians, ""Who wants to do a children's show?" I would probably get a lot of "No Thanks' and of the ones who waved their hands indicating they would do a children's show, most would do a terrible job. They would string together a bunch of tricks, labeled by dealers as children's tricks and do one right after the other, with no theme or story to tie them together. Then complain that the kids were terrible, talking during the show or just getting up and leave. Of course they would blame it on the kids.
No one who really loves the art of magic would do a show like that
There are, of course, many performers who do a wonderful job where entertaining children
Children are a wonderful audience, and best of all they still believe in magic. You should never do anything to destroy that belief. They come to your show, all excited, expecting to see real magic. Don't disappoint them - Brother Shadow
