Ben Stone invented the Two Hole Wrist Chopper and although Joe Karson (of Zombie fame) might want to lay claim to it (and it is still called the Karson Wrist Chopper on the Owen’s site) – he did not invent it, but Ben Stone did and it is clearly documented by Michael Rose in his wonderful book Joe Karson – Beyond Zombie (Chapter 11).
Effect: This is one of my favorite illusions. Unlike most chopper illusions this defies explanation because at the end the blade which can be examined is clearly surrounding the wrists with no explanation at all how it could have penetrated them. If you are looking to spice up your parlor or stage act this is large enough to see and amaze, but small enough to pack!
Date of Manufacture: This is the upgraded model which he incorporated small lug on the back board which fit over the uprights to hold them in exact alignment which Ben started adding around 1972 - however on this unit Ben did "NOT" time line the date of manufacture he only added his trademark.
Condition - VERY GOOD. The images shown are of the actual article being offered. Fully operational as confirmed by Shawn Reida who worked for Stevens Magic for years and is an expert on the item which he uses in his show. Item comes with Original instructions from DelBen magic. We also include supplemental instructions (from the last run of units crafted by Louie Gaynor with permission from Danny Garganus), as supplemental supporting documentation. We suggest you follow the original instructions from Ben Stone, Use the supplemental in case they feature some additional features not included in the originals. Original carrying case. Absolutely authentic as proven by the DELBEN stamp. This unit features the upgraded version that Ben added a Lug on the back side to adjust alignment if needed.
Danny Garganus holds the rights to Delben magic. Working with him we had Louie Gaynor manufacture this item for which I think only 20 units were made. Disclaimer: The one in the video was made by Louie Gaynor as his blades featured the circular impressions, compared to the original Delben blades which were plain finish.
