Scryer's Impromptu Project is unlike anything he has previously produced. Because everything included are solid effects and readings performed with the most basic and common items found almost everywhere. This is survival mentalism and readings in its most organic form.

Many years ago, one of Scryer's confidants challenged him to go into a restaurant with nothing in his pockets and see if he could mesmerize the patrons inside. This was done in New York in the early 2000's. Scryer and his confidant went into a premium bistro and remained there for several hours and never bought one drink or anything on the menu - it was provided to them with compliments based on the life experiences they provided to the patrons using just paper and pencils. If you can't find a paper pad - use paper napkins if necessary - ordinary non-suspicious materials no one would believe serve as double-duty as the psychics catalyst and modus operandi.

Mastering these techniques will serve the reader exponentially well. As I write this I can't forget one of the most interesting personalities I have ever come across in the filed of readers and mentalism in my tenure at Stevens Magic Emporium. His name was "Boris Comacho Vega, and he was originally from Cuba. Boris lived in Miami and was one of the most successful practitioners when it came to providing. He was the total package and while he did have his own personal studio the manner in which he developed new clients or even meet with them outside of his studio, involved many of the same techniques found in this book. Working jazz clubs, restaurants and at that time surf clubs he used innocuous objects like pencils, napkins, paper, dice etc. Magicians these days strive for prop-less materials and less apparatus. This is the quintessential objective of any mentalist or reader as well.

All you need is paper and pencils; you don't need a complete pad or tablet of paper. We are referring to ordinary object that are void of suspicious yet provide you the worker the extra-ordinary data.
