The Compleat Invocation Extremely Rare 1970s Edition - Brother Shadow Estate

Long considered and understandably high in demand were the works from the Invocation. This was a quarterly publication devoted to Bizarre Magick. This was Carl Herron's personal copy. And it is in incredible condition.

Unlike the standard The Compleat Invocation (1986, Kaufman & Co., limited to 300 sets across Vols. 1–2 in slipcases), this 20-copy edition isn't documented in major magic bibliographies (e.g., Magicpedia, Richard Kaufman's catalogs) or dealer sites.

It may have been a private run for patrons, founders, or key supporters—common for niche periodicals like Invocation. The plate's phrasing ("of Volume 1 of INVOCATION") suggests it's from the original publication era (late 1970s), predating the 1986 compilation.

This is an extremely scarce set of books.  Adding to its allure Including the books include letters. One from Tony Andruzzi  AKA Maskelyne Ye Mage (Tom Palmer). The other from Anthony Raven.  Spine of book list each volume followed by Lynn Raven.

Only 20 copies produced.  Smyth-sewn.

Condition: Near Fine to Fine.
