The E.S. Pouch was made with the idea of having not one, not two but THREE of the most iconic mentalism effects created to be put into a single pouch - offered at an incredible price. Free Will and Pocket Prediction are some of Stevens Magic's Favorite ESP effects. They are now available together with an added bonus effect. These effects are perfect for close up setting and will last you for the rest of your career in magic. If you ever had a second thought about either effect this is the time to get both of these effects and an added bonus for the price of one effect!

The Effects Included:

POCKET PREDICTION: (with respects to Steve Cook - The Gamble) This beautiful multiple-out principle can be used for strolling and close-up magic! The magician holds out a small pouch to a volunteer. Inside are wooden tokens, each marked with an ESP symbol: a circle, plus sign, three wavy lines, and a five-pointed star. The magician has an additional token hidden in their hand.

The magician instructs the volunteers to extend their hand palm down. The magician places one token into the hand, ensuring the volunteer doesn't look at it or let anyone else see it. The volunteer is then told to place the token immediately into their pocket. Next, the magician asks the volunteer to remove one token at a time from the pouch and place it on the table's corner. The first token is a plus sign. The second is a five-pointed star. The third is three wavy lines. The last is a circle. This is done Slowly and carefully Once all tokens are laid out, the magician asks, "What if I told you I knew you would pick these symbols in this exact order?" The magician directs the volunteer to look inside the pouch, where they find a card that reads: THE THIRD ONE DOWN WILL MATCH THE ONE IN YOUR POCKET. As predicted, the volunteer checks their pocket and finds the three wavy lines.

FREE-WILL: The FREE-WILL (with respects to Deddy Corbuzier) effect is a popular mentalism routine where a magician or mentalist seemingly predicts a volunteer's choices, even though those choices appear to be entirely free. The basic structure of the effect involves three objects (often a coin, a pen, a card, or other small items). A volunteer/participation is asked to choose one for themselves, one for the magician, and leave the last one on the table. Incredibly, the magician reveals that they had all predicted these choices, often written down before the effect begins.

Years after Deddy Corbuzier first unleashed Free Will upon the world, it ignited performers imaginations, sparking endless new variations and innovative methodologies. Its influence remains as powerful as ever, evolving with each new interpretation The effect relies on clever psychological manipulation, ambiguity, and multiple outs (different possible outcomes, all of which appear to be successful). Essentially, the magician sets up the effect so that no matter the volunteer's choices, it can be framed as though the magician predicted them in advance.

Psychic Ruin: In the 1984 edition of the classic magic magazine The Invocation, Jon Hughett included Rune of Ruin in a special edition focusing on Norse Mythology. Vince uses the principle of the double-sided rune Hughett used for an effect based on, in this case, extra-sensitive perception.

Materials: wood chips and revelations most likely a laser was used to imprint the various symbols and revelation plaques. This is an economy version and as such does not contain any hardwood, but the effect will play just a powerful as if these were made from an exotic wood such as cocobolo. The mind set for this particular effect is remembering (for those that are familiar with one or all of these effects is being able to perform 3 different effects on the go. Comes with printed instructions and respect and references listing who or where each of the three different effects originated.

Value Added Back Story: Years ago, I wanted to come out with a different version of Free Will and in doing my due diligence, I contacted a man I frequently did for his knowledge - Max Maven (who has of course passed). But while still alive the more I thought about the methodology of Free Will and the way it was a sort of equivoque I had to ask Max if he had any previous knowledge of this principle used prior to Free Will. Max told me - No. He confirmed it was Denny Corbizer. I was impressed as rarely finds do we find such original routines or executions in the art. It's always exciting when it happens.
