I remember many when El Duco first introduced this iconic reel I think in the late 90's! We worked closely with him as we did a lot of international dealers such as Georges Proust - France, Harold Voit - Germany, Ton Onosaka in Toyko and UGM in Nagoya. There were TWO items from El Duco that resonated immediately with the magic world and at the same time were never able to keep up with the demand. One was the El Duco Machine which was a Funkenring and the other - was this item - The El Duco Sweedish Reel.
Let me assure you this reel we are offering has been completely redesigned by Andreas Seabring of Metal Writing. Let me also assure you that it is probably the most advanced utility I have ever seen in my magic life. I just had a 15 minute in-service with Andreas and the fact that he was able to accomplish this is nothing short of a miracle. This is the quintessential reel for the working pro.
It is also good to point out that the reel has a lock and a break, that also works as a shock absorber. That the thread is about 7 feet and that the tension is the same from start to end.
Sample Effect: A large silk that visually penetrates a microphone stand, a ring or another silk, is a magic miracle. You don’t need to explain the impossible, the magic moment is that strong that it is self-explaining. It plays big and packs small, it could be the perfect opener or turned into an act of amusement.
