Temporarily Suspending Orders at: www.stevensmagic.com. However www.stevensmagic.global remains FULL SERVICE.
Press Release: On 09/23 at approx. 2:50am, my wife and myself were notified of multiple alarms at our shop, which indicated fire and a breach. Jumping in the car half asleep I drove briskly to the shop and from a distance we witnessed a concert of bright alarms from fire trucks. Our building while conjoined consists of an east and west wing. The east side wing houses our brick and mortar store. This is where the fire originated, and primarily remained – fortunately. However there are areas where the two wings merge so we are still assessing the situation. While E-mail and Telephone lines remain open, for the time being we are freezing fulfillment from our traditional website – www.stevensmagic.com.
However, our sister site: www.stevensmagic.global is fully operational being it’s housed in a different location. Further we plan to add more exclusive and semi-exclusive products to www.stevensmagic.GLOBAL – during the transition UNTIL such time we are able get things at our primary office back up and functional.
I would like to share a life experience. As a young man about once a year or so, my father would recite for me: Rudyard Kiplings’ “IF – “ A framed copy of this hung on one of his walls. Ironically, as I looked at it today it the frame was charred from the fire and the paper was warped by the heat – but it was still legible. Anytime I read this work I get emotional but seeing that framed copy that has been there for years beat up made me go to the section I immediately thought of – the 2nd verse.
2nd section:
If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same:
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools;
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!
The symbolism of seeing that charred and warped paper coupled with the emotional aspect hits me – every time. To say it resonated with me – would truthfully be the definition of an understatement. I hope this this work will provide for you the brilliant and emotional aspect of life. Mark Stevens
