lock-and-see-magic-dream
Lock and See - Magic Dream

Light hearted fun ice-breakers are some of my favorite effects to sell and to perform for friends. Kudos to Magic Dream for finding a much better streamlined approach that removes 100% of the GEEKY part that was required in the past. And as stated above - this effect has the distinction of you being able to incorporate a stooge "impromptu" and "on the fly!" Yes, you read that right. In fact that is part of the fun.

That is not to say you HAVE to use a stooge - not at all. I'm just saying if I was to perform this, I would have one person pick the card and use another participant from the audience - where you announce that that person (who did not choose the card) is going to be the volunteer magician. In fact, my brain is cooking - after the person takes the card you could even then announce - "Excuse me, I'm afraid I will NOT be able to continue as I have experienced a momentary lose of magic power!" I'm going to need a VOLUNTEER magician (if no one volunteers simply go out and grab someone,) will any of you step up to be the volunteer magician! The great thing - They Have No Idea What In The Heck They Are About To Do!

Sample Routine: Find two people (preferable friends) and ask them if they will join you in a magic experiment. The first one is to choose a card but NOT show it to anyone, so that ONLY he/she is aware of the card selected. The card is then returned to the deck.

Next you ask the friend to help and you hand the other participant (that did not choose the card) to take a special ESP card that will unlock his/her mental powers. The special card in fact has a keyhole in the middle that has been die-cut and there is a red color filling in the area of the key hole.

You inform everyone that this friend (the one that die not choose the card) will be performing the magic tonight. You instruct that person to hold the card up and to look through the key hole to see if they see anything. At first they have no luck. You state, "here let me help you because its a little dark in here." Next you remove your cell phone with the flashlight illuminated and instruct the friend to look again and then ask? "If you see something don't tell me what it is yet." Just let me know if you do. The 2nd participant states, "Yes, I do see something!" At which point the 2nd participant is able to successfully reveal the card his friend or colleague choose. Of course this is just one example.

Contents: Comes with TWO indifferent gimmicked cards, allowing you to repeat the effect if so desired in the same venue. The great thing about this is those that witnessed it the first time will truly be baffled when it is repeated and a different card is revealed. Also comes with a double back card to allow you to incorporate your own handling.

Disclaimer: Despite the fact there is a link and QR Code in the package they opted not to move forward with the video. We created our own un-boxing and explanation as the effect really doesn't require a video due to it's simplicity and ease to perform it. Technically it would take one minute to explain the modus operandi (and that is a good thing). None-the-less we shot the video to also provide some performance suggestions too.
