It has been said that plants have feelings like humans… We have heard stories about how talking to plants helps them grow and some say they have a penchant for classical music too. But did you know plants also have the ability to read human thoughts? They also have a very strong will. For non-believers’ Plant Will “will” make them believers. EFFECT: Invite two spectators on stage (say a male and female) asking the male to turn his back to you. You ask the other one (female) to select any card from a regular deck. The chosen card is shown the all the members of the audience (except of course the other assistant that has his back turned). Now you ask the spectator who choose the card to hold it tightly in her hands, chest high and concentrate deeply on that card with his eyes closed.
Now you ask the other spectator to turn around and walk with you to a plant that is in the room. You select a leaf from the plant and ask the spectator to look closely at the leaf and you ask him – “Do you see anything unusual on this leaf?” He replies – “no!” Now you show both hands empty, you hold the leaf at both ends of your fingertips and explain to the person that the plants message will be revealed visually – this way he can see it clearly and if necessary hold it up against a light source. Suddenly an image of part of the card faintly becomes visible on that leaf! In another moment the image become as clear and vivid as the leaf! You get the leaf back in your hand and how it thoroughly including the underside but nothing is found! Next you ask the spectator to tell the audience “where” and “what” he saw and amazingly it matches the other spectators freely chosen card!
But it doesn’t end there. Now tell the spectator, who was holding the card with her eyes closed, to open her eyes and look at the card. When she does she starts to scream! Because the entire image of the card face has vanished and is completely blank! The rest of the cards can be examined, but the selected card is not found there either. The plant not only has read the spectator’s thoughts, but also has transferred the image of the chosen card its leaf.
