In the 1930s, a pair of scientists made a discovery in Russia (the former Soviet Union) and it threw themselves into the center of the bioenergy debate involving fields of science, religion, and parapsychology. Their names are Semyon and Valentina, the Kirlians. They accidentally discovered that if an object is placed on a photographic plate and subjected to a high-voltage electric field, an image is created on the plate. In the image there was something like the corona discharge, which had been not visible to the naked eye. This is regarded as the discovery of the Kirlian photography that is still controversial today. Even before this discovery, it has been said that an object, especially a human body creates an aura of the spirit as 'life energy', and in some cases it is possible to influence surrounding objects by controlling the energy with telepathic wave of thought. The discovery of the Kirlian photography by the pairs has been drawing attention as the ground of this theory, and it is being studied even today. Is this really true?
EFFECT: After talking about some stories, the performer asks for a volunteer from the audience. The volunteer is invited to the stage, and takes a simple test to measure his/her telepathic wave power. After confirming that the volunteer is a suitable person as a psychopath, a book is displayed for a demonstration. The cover and whole pages are shown and verified to be an ordinary and normal book.
The performer puts the book on the table, and asks the volunteer to come near by, place a hand on the book, and concentrate with eyes closed. Next, the volunteer is asked to silently think of any page number freely and concentrate on it. The volunteer is told to open eyes and let the hand off from the book when he/she feels something. Now for the first time, let the volunteer say the selected page number. The performer opens the selected page, and fairly shows it to the audience. And there ... a shadow of the volunteer's hand is printed! Off course all the pages from top to bottom are flipped, but the shadow is printed only on the opened page! She as a psychopath has made her aura (bioenergy) penetrates through the book, and her thought has been printed on the selected page!! No stooges. The volunteer is selected on site without any prearrangement or pre-show working. All the pages of the book are shown both at the beginning and at the end. No suspicious action, no sleight move, no cover. After the book is displayed, it is in 100% full view all the time until shown at the end. Never be hidden even partially, nor touched by other person. No change of the book, or the part of the book. Add nothing, reduce nothing. Only one book is used. At the moment the book is displayed, all set and done. You can concentrate on the dialogue and the performance, so you can build up the best presentation. The language in the book is not used in the effect, so this can be performed worldwide.
