A spectator is asked to hand out little pieces of paper to a number of audience members. Each secretly writes a word (city, number, name, etc.) on the paper and folds it small. The spectator now takes a shoebox-size box with a slot in the top out to have the papers pushed into the box. He brings the box to the performer where the lid is removed and the spectator selects one piece of paper. He unfolds it and reads the word aloud. Next he is directed to an envelope that has been in plain view on stage. He opens it and reads the word inside. Of course it matches the selected word! What makes this a real winner is that the performer DOES NOT TOUCH the box, any of the papers, the envelope or prediction at any time! With this invaluable tool, the performer can fully concentrate on presentation—it does all the “dirty” work.
