Based on ideas from Al Koran, Peter Tappan and Ted Lesley. Many successful mentalist and magicians present the "Princess Card Trick" in their programs. It is very popular because of its great entertainment value and simple working. Ted Lesley has tested the simplest version of this experiment, which with the proper “sell” becomes a miracle, with great success on the occasion of many performances. A deck of cards is shuffled... Small packets of cards from the deck are given out to five participants, who are instructed to note and remember any one of the cards in their packet. Another spectator collects the packets, shuffles them again, and gives them to the mentalist who places the resulting packet onto the rest of the pack, which is shuffled once more. The mentalist now has the impossible assignment of revealing the cards, which each participant is "only thinking of" in the most entertaining manner possible. To do this he takes a small packet of cards from the top of the deck, fans them and read off the name of the cards. The participants in the audience are then asked whether they have heard the names of their cards, if this is affirmed the perform takes a card and with the back of the card toward the audience, he asks the spectator to name his card. The performer turns the card he is holding in his hand and it is the one that the spectator is thinking of! The mentalist does it again, revealing all the remaining cards - but wait - an error creeps in when one of the cards is named, because the performer shows the wrong card! The mentalist asks the audience and the participant to excuse this small error. When all the other cards which have been thought off are found, the performer ask the person who card was incorrect to name his card out loud - he says, for example, "King of Hearts!" The face on the mentalist brightens and he says, "Why didn't you say that already?" And he asks the participant to stand and look under his seat! To the amazement of the participant, there is an enveloped there, fastened with cellophane tape, in which there is a jumbo card - you guessed it - the KING OF HEARTS!
