Block, Bolt and Coin Penetration

This is a truly baffling effect! A small wood block, which has a hole drilled lengthwise through the block is displayed. There is a slot from top to bottom at right angles to the hole. A 3-inch bolt is placed through the hole and a wing nut is fastened onto the end. A coin is now placed in the slot where it is held in place by the presence of the bolt. At the performer’s command, the coin visibly passes through the bolt and drops into the spectator’s cupped hands. The wing nut and bolt are removed and everything is handed to the spectator for inspection. Hand crafted in solid walnut.
