Matching Couples (Henry Evans)

Do you want an elegant alternative for the usual ‘pick a card trick?’ Well, Matching Couples is it. While telling the story about how soul mates belong together, you, the performer fan a randomly arranged deck of cards and show them to your audience. You then remove the face cards and show them in pairs, none of which match. Of course, the theme of your story is soul mates. You again show the pairs of face cards, all of which miraculously have come together with their match (i.e. the two black queens, etc.). A spectator then riffle shuffles the remainder of the deck as many times as they wish, but no matter, the spot cards have found their similar soul mates as well. This is one for you workers to save for that special table.
