Spring has sprung, here in
the mid-west!
Flowers, rain, allergies, and longer days!
Hooray.
In this edition, we are proud to highlight one of our team
members – Craig Cole.
My son Mark wrote the article right after the Seminar, and
we’re happy to share it with you.

celebrate Spring than with our annual “One Day Magic Sale” at
Stevens Magic Emporium.

the Four Lectures |
Every spring we hold a
“One Day” event at the shop with great savings plus a lecture for
early attendees, topped off with a huge array of magical goodies!
It’s a fun, fun time for all, and this year over 56 locals
attended and had a great magic time!
Starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs until the last “magi” leaves!

But what was special this year was our celebration of serving
magicians for thirty years, of having a full-time retail operation.
Never did we dream that we would have the business for such a long
time, when we started it in 1965.
After working in a home studio for 10 years, in 1975, Stevens
Magic Emporium entered a new era and did what every business person
said couldn’t be done – open up a retail magic shop in
Wichita
,
Kansas
(population 320,000 at the time).

Then in 1975
moved into 3238
E. Douglas
for our first full-retail business! The celebration was highlighting our
years as a open to the public, brick and mortar magic store since 1975.
In 1998 we moved to our new location at 2520
E. Douglas
and are almost out of room yet again!

Wow…but
what fun this “old man” has had in those years.
I have been able to travel the world with a “Bag of Tricks”
and met so, so many wonderful lovers of our art!
I’ve seen such great magic and attended conventions all over
America
as well!
